It was CR's birthday very recently, and now I've finally had some time to draw a picture as a birthday gift for her. This is meant to be her OC Melanie Narroh, at a bit of an older age than she is in, from her and Tazzy's comic, The Mocha.
However... The hair style CR gives older-Melanie in pictures she's drawn of older-Melanie is... pretty much completely different than what I drew here. I just really wanted to draw younger-Melanie's bangs as part of an older-Melanie design, so I did, and added in my experimental try at wavy hair in the back.
It didn't turn out as bad as I thought it could, with me drawing it... Though I still think I like the younger Melanie's hairstyle better, even if I can't draw the back part very well.
Also, I changed perspective a little bit here, again, as I want to work on drawing a bit more different poses again once and a while, so maybe I can get a little better at it.
Anyways, happy anniversary of your date of birth, CR, hope you had a good one, and hope you like this picture. And I hope anyone else who sees this likes it, as well.

Hahaha and sometimes I miss Melanie's bangs too, but I remember how hard it was to make Melanie look mature with them XD I like the combo you did!
